Launch of Conexion Website

On Monday, Dec. 15th, Conexión, a leadership development program based in Boston since 2005, will be meeting at MIT Sloan School Faculty Club from 5:30 to 8:00 to conduct its final leadership meeting of the year and to launch its website. Conexión creates a pipeline of aware and confident Latino leaders who understand the challenges and opportunities of the world around us.

38 year old woman rapes 15 year old boy

According to the Boston Herald, Robin Mawory was convicted yesterday to a four year jail sentence charged of raping her 15 year old daughter's friend. Robin was trialed in Nashua NH, on the witness stand she told the jury that the boy had raped her threatening to kill her daughter if she denied.

Vanished special education teacher was found in San Antonio Texas

According to the Boston Herald, Sheryl Grace Duncan age 38 and mother of a two and a three year old went missing on Monday. Apparently Sheryl drop off her kids at the daycare and then called in sick at her job. Then she withdrew $400 from her account and vanished away from her current town, New Bedford.

Dreaming of a white winter

According to the Boston Globe, Northeast winters are getting milder and milder as years go by. The climate is affecting hundreds of workers that depend on a snowy winter to earn revenue. On a survey developed by the University of New Hampshire it has being found that temperatures rise on an average 0.8% from winter to winter.

Robber killed during burglary

According to the Boston Herald, last night two masked men tried to rob Big Bob's liquor store in Worcester. The two men armed with guns entered the store and threatened the two store clercks. In a moment of distraction one of the clercks pulled out his own gun and shot to death one of the robbers, while the other one fled.

Automakers: Government to the rescue!

According to the Boston Globe, the Democratic congressional leaders agreed to help US automakers. Washington declared that they will provide $15 billion to save the big three US automakers. The Landscape? GM even threatened to go bankrupt by the end of the month if it did not receive any help. Chrysler will greatly appreciate the aid. And Ford acknowledged that it is the only way car manufacturers could stay a float.

Incendio en East Boston

El Boston Herald reporta que una cortina de humo era lo que se podía observar en un edificio de East Boston mientras los bomberos trataban de hacer su trabajo ayer domingo. Un cortocircuito en una cocina de los Heritage Apartments de la Boston Housing Authority causó un incendio en el complejo habitacional de East Boston. El siniestro obligó a desalojar el lugar a más de 150 ancianos y personas discapacitadas que residían en el edifició.

Slow down! Whales Crossing!

According to the Boston Globe, starting tomorrow ship's larger than 25 feet will be enforced to navigate under the speed limit of 10 knots. The restriction covers the areas along the East Coast. The law was passed in order to protect the endangered specie of the North Atlantic Right Whale. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration declared that only 300 to 400 specimens remain in existence.

Governor Patrick statement on President-elect Obama's radio address on the economy
