Miami, FL, 17 de noviembre del 2008.- Mañana 18 de noviembre, la compañía discográfica Sony BMG Latin lanzará al mercado el álbum “17”, la nueva compilación de grandes éxitos del reconocido artista Ricky Martin.
Con una trayectoria que incluye nueve aclamados discos, ventas mundiales acumuladas de más de 50 millones de copias, múltiples temas en la cima de las listas de radio y premios otorgados, este año Martin celebra sus últimos 17 años de su carrera artística.
“17” es un CD recopilatorio que reúne parte de la historia musical de Martin con 17 éxitos que representan los discos lanzados entre 1991 y 2007.
El álbum también estará disponible en una edición limitada junto a un DVD que incluirá 17 videos entre ellos el correspondiente a “Qué Día Es Hoy”, dos cortometrajes nunca antes vistos filmados durante los lanzamientos de “Almas Del Silencio” y “Life”, y fotos que ilustran sus 17 años de trayectoria artística.
Los temas incluidos en “17” fueron cuidadosamente seleccionados pensando en aquellos que a través de los años se han convertido en los favoritos del público, entre ellos: “Fuego Contra Fuego”, “El Amor de Mi Vida”, “Bella”, “Te Extraño, Te Olvido, Te Amo”, “María” (Remix Spanglish), “Vuelve”, “La Copa de la Vida” (Remix Spanglish), “La Bomba” (Remix), “Livin’ La Vida Loca” (Remix Spanglish) y muchos más. To commemorate Martin’s 17-year as a solo-artist, Sony BMG Latin is announcing the November 18th release of “17” - a special CD and DVD collection showcasing 17 of the superstar’s greatest hits from 1991-2007.
The songs -carefully selected by Martin himself- are tracks that have become fan favorites over his career including: “Fuego Contra Fuego”, “El Amor de Mi Vida”, “Bella”, “Te Extraño, Te Olvido, Te Amo”, “María” (Remix Spanglish), “Vuelve”, “La Copa de la Vida” (Remix Spanglish), “La Bomba” (Remix), “Livin’ La Vida Loca” (Remix Spanglish) and many more. The DVD edition of “17” will also be made available with 17 videos, including “Qué Día” Es Hoy (Self Control) and two never before seen short films created for the releases of “Almas Del Silencio” and “Life”. The limited-edition release will also feature numerous photos from throughout Ricky Martin’s 17-year career.
“17” will be available in stores nationwide and in all digital music-retail stores including iTunes. In addition Sony BMG Latin, will also release the Blu-ray version of Ricky Martin Live - “Black & White” Tour - the 2007 live concert film of Martin’s most recent critically acclaimed tour.
